President's Message

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the Asian Academy of Craniomandibular Disorders

(AACMD), I am delighted to invite you to the 15th Scientific  Meeting of AACMD, to be held in Daegu, Korea from October 24-25, 2015. The main theme of this meeting is "The Path to Overcoming Non-Odontogenic Toothache", which will be discussed in the aspect of the three clinically important topics; 'trigeminal neuropathic pain', 'pain in elderly people', and 'burning mouth syndrome'. The keynote speaker is Prof. Rafael Benoliel in Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. His lectures will give us a comprehensive understanding of non-odontogenic orofacial pain. The program also highlights some recent breakthroughs in refractory TMD patients. Throughout the conference, you will have the opportunity to share your experience and knowledge in the field of OFP and TMD with your international peers and to collaborate with them.

Daegu is the 3rd largest city in Korea and is located in the southeastern part of Korean Peninsula. This city has a long history dating back to Shilla dynasty (57 BC~935 AD) and there are a lot of cultural relics and Buddhist temples near the city, especially in Palgongsan Mountain and Gyeongju area. Daegu will be the ideal venue for this meeting and there will be plenty of activities which make your participation and journey an enjoyable and memorable experience. October is the best time to visit Korea and I am looking forward to seeing you at the 15th AACMD Scientific Meeting.

      Best Regards,
